Turn the pressure adjusting nuts clockwise and compress
springs to:
Red Springs
1 9/16" (40mm)

Tighten the jam nuts.

Reinstall the hydraulic cylinder cushion.

MPORTANT
Replacing the jaw cylinder cushion requires threading the
cushion into two sets of threads (the locking flange and the
mounting). Verify it is threaded into both.
Do not force the cushion in.
a. screw the jaw cushion through the locking flange and
into the cylinder as far as it can go
b. retighten the four bolts on the locking flange

Remove the clamp block.

Carefully re-install the knife.
19.
Restore electrical power and air.

If sealing pressure is not even (up and down), adjustments can be made
to the front jaw through spring washers. The rear jaw cannot be
adjusted. To adjust the top to bottom sealing pressure:
1.
Remove all power from the machine.
2.
Remove the knife.
a. lift the tabs on the ends of the knife blade
b. slide the knife out
3.
Loosen the guard mounting screws and remove the guard.
4.
Loosen the setscrew at each adjusting screw.
5.
Turn the adjusting screws clockwise until they are tight
and the spring washers are fully compressed.
6.
Restore power to the machine.
7.
Re-install the knife.
8.
Run sample bags to note areas on the end seals that
require more jaw face contact to equalize the seal.
This can also be determined by inserting TIPI paper between the front
and rear jaw faces and manually closing and locking the jaw carriers.
