Removing excess air from the bag is accomplished by plates mounted
on cylinder rods in the front and rear of the bag. These cylinders are
activated by a signal at the correct time. When the pull belts almost
complete their cycle, the cylinders press the bag from both directions to
remove air from the bag, creating a thinner bag. After pressing the air
from the bag, the cylinders retract along with the jaws.
The squeezers must be adjusted correctly. Use the following guidelines
for making adjustments:
1.
Determine bag thickness.
a. Measure the thickness of a filled bag laying on a flat
surface with the product evenly distributed.
b. Measurement is taken from the flat surface up to the
top of the filled bag.

Unlock the cylinder mounting plates with the handles and
extend the cylinders.
3.
Adjust the front and rear cylinder adjustment plate to the
desired bag thickness.

MPORTANT
Make these adjustments with the cylinders fully extended.
If the bag is 1" thick, the front plate is 1/2".

XAMPLE
from the bag center line and the rear is 1/2". from the
bag center line.

Lock down the cylinder mounting plates with the handles
and retract the cylinders.
5.
Extend the cylinders again and measure to ensure the cor-
rect dimension is made and adjust if necessary.

Adjust the plate at the end of the cylinder rod so the top of
the plate is just below the bottom of the deflators.

MPORTANT
Keep the plates in this position at all times to prevent mushrooming at
the top of the bag.
