The four bolt drive link is machined from a single block of aluminum.
Once the angles are cut and the pivot assembly shaft hole is bored, the
block is sawed into two sections. The sections become a matched set
and must remain together for a correct fit when installed. The drive link
with four bolts is eight times as secure as the older version with only
two bolts and is the mechanical equivalent to a pinned drive link.
The four bolt drive links are coated to prevent rust in wash-down
machines and damp environments. To prevent the drive link from slip-
ping on the pivot assembly shaft:
• apply three or four drops of Loctite 242 on each half of the
bore interior surface that rests against the pivot assembly
shaft
• tighten the bolts using a stagger method and torque to 35 lbs
The four bolt drive link without the pin is designed to be a direct
replacement for all existing drive links currently in use.
