Auger Stager

a. Auger Start Degree
The beginning of the auger cycle relative to the bag
making cycle. The auger feedscrew revolves and dis-
penses product.The bagger jaws need to close before
the product drops to prevent contaminated seals or
jammed jaws.
1. Touch the Auger Calibration pad.
The Auger Calibration screen displays.
2. Touch the Auger Start Degree pad.
The numeric keypad displays.
3. Enter the value on the numeric keypad and touch
the Return key to save.
a. Auger Complete Degree
The bagger degree where auger feed cycle is complete.
The auger must complete a feed cycle before the jaws
of the bagger open during the next bag making cycle.
The Auger Setup screen displays the auger complete
degree under the jaw closed degree on the Auger
Setup screen.
The auger stager (flapper gate) has nearly the same function as the bag-
ger stager. The auger stager opens and closes to prevent residual prod-
uct from dropping down into the bag and causing overweights. To
enable the auger stager:

1. On the Auger Setup screen, touch the Auger Stager O/I
pad to enable the stager.
The pad illuminates when the stager is enabled.
2. Touch the FROM pad.
The numeric keypad displays.
3. Enter the FROM value in degrees for the auger stager and
touch Return to save.
The FROM value is the degree in the machine cycle when the auger
stager opens.

MPORTANT
The FROM value is dependent on the timing mode of the auger.
If the auger is timed from the Auger Start Degree, the auger

stager FROM value must be at least 10° less than the Auger Start
Degree.
If the auger stager is timed from the Jaw Close Degree, the
•
auger stager FROM value cannot be greater than the Jaw Closed
Degree.
