How to Enter a
Password

PASSWORD PROTECTION
A password is required to save a recipe or access the System Installa-
tion screen. The option to enter a password is on the Password Mainte-
nance screen. The password system is divided into three levels:
• Operator (lowest security access level; default)
• Supervisor (medium security access level; password required)
• Engineering (highest security access level; password required)
The machine automatically starts up in Operator mode. A password
must be entered to access either the Supervisor or Engineering level.
The supervisor level password allows access to the Diagnostic screen,
I/O screens, the Program Setup screen, and enables the user to save and
modify recipes. The engineer level password has the same access as the
supervisor with the addition of access to the System Installation screen.

From the Password Maintenance screen, touch Change
User Level.
The numeric keypad displays.
2.
Enter the supervisor level password.
3.
Touch Enter.
The password is saved and a rectangular pad below the Supervisor
Password field illuminates, indicating the level is active.

From the Password Maintenance screen, touch Change
User Level.
The numeric keypad displays.
2.
Enter the engineering level password.
3.
Touch Enter.
The password is saved and a rectangular pad below both the Supervi-
sor Password and Engineering Password fields illuminates, indicat-
ing the password is active.

MPORTANT
The supervisor password displays when Engineering level is
accessed but does not display when the machine is in operator or
supervisor mode.
