1.
Remove the plastic plug from the power supply with an
insulated screwdriver.
2.
Plug the cable into the receptacle the plastic plug was in.
3.
Screw in the knurled plug on the cable.

MPORTANT
Finger tighten the plug into the power supply. Do not use exces-
sive force.
4.
Plug in the power supply.
5.
If a grounded outlet is not available:
a. bolt the power supply to a well-grounded machine
frame
b. connect a heavy copper wire from the ground terminal
on the front of the power supply to a well-grounded
electrical conduit or water pipe

The power unit box must be grounded either by a bolt connecting it to
a grounded machine or another adequate ground. Plugging the power
unit into a three-prong power supply also provides a ground.

The aluminum casing on the static bar must be grounded to prevent
shock danger and to keep the equipment working correctly. Clamping
the static bar with metal mounting clamps to the machine frame pro-
vides automatic grounding. Using wood or other non-conductive mate-
rials requires a separate wire from one end of the mounting bracket to
connect to a grounded part of the metal machine frame.
W
:
ARNING
Avoid touching the static bar when the power supply is ener-
gized. Due to electrical shock hazard, disconnect the supply
voltage to the power supply before connecting the bar.
To avoid fire hazards, do not install or operate the static bar
close to flammable solvents.
