ESP END SEAL ASSEMBLY
The enhanced sealing pressure (ESP) jaw assembly uses sealing pres-
sure from the jaw lock air cylinders.
The jaw actuator closes the jaw into position. The jaw close position
produces a gap between the front and rear jaw face of 1/8 inch. The gap
is necessary for reverse stripping. The jaw close proximity switch
detects the jaw close position.
If reverse strip is disabled, the lock jaw air valve is actuated as soon as
the jaw close proximity switch is made. If reverse strip is enabled, the
jaw lock air valve is actuated upon completion of the reverse film pull.

1. Turn OFF machine power.
2. Lock the link arms level with a locking clamp.
3. Position front carrier locating collars so they are fully
threaded onto the outboard shaft.
4. Place a 1/8 inch spacer shim between the front and rear
die face.
5. Tighten the front carrier positioning nuts against the car-
rier and lock in place with the jam nut.
6. Turn the front carrier locking collars counterclockwise
until they are tight against the carrier.
7. Remove the link arm locking clamps.
