4. Remove the front grippers
a. Loosen the two gripper mounting bolts on the top
front gripper.
b. Slide the top front gripper off.
c. Loosen the two gripper mounting bolts on the bottom
front gripper.
d. Slide the bottom front gripper off.
5. Loosen the jaw mounting plate.
a. Loosen the two setscrews B
b. Loosen the two front carrier backup screws.
6. Unload the spring tension on the jaw faces.

a. Loosen the bolts on the spring housing clamp blocks,
on the left and right sides at the back of the rear jaw
carrier.
b. Turn both spring housings out until a gap appears
between the spring plungers and the jaw actuator rods.
c. Retighten the bolts on the spring housing clamp
blocks.
