Unload the spring tension on the jaw carriers (left and
right: see the following drawing).
1 = Deflection Collar
2 = Spring Length
3 = Pressure Adjusting Nut

a. Loosen the pressure adjusting and jam nuts on each
side (outside) of the front jaw carrier until all tension
is taken off the springs.
b. Loosen the two 3/16" Allen head screws in each
deflection collar.
c. Turn both deflection collars away from the carrier
1/4".
8.
Install the jaw linkage clamp block.
a. Push the jaws closed
b. Lock the jaw linkage on center using the jaw linkage
clamp block.
