Portions of this procedure may also be used for correct

setup when replacing the air cylinder.
1. Turn Off all air and electrical power to the machine and
follow company Lock Out/Tag Out policies and proce-
dures.
2. Remove the linear stager.
a. Back off or remove the stager plates from the linear
stager unit.
b. Disconnect the air lines to the linear stager.
c. Loosen the stager lock down handles or hold down
bolts.
d. Remove the linear stager from the machine.
3. Remove the existing cable.
a. Place stager upside down on a work bench.
b. Remove the four cable clamp blocks. Retain the
mounting hardware for the reinstallation.

4. Disconnect the cable from the air cylinder and remove
from the linear stager housing.
5. Inspect guide rails and phenolic pulleys for damage or
wear and replace if needed.
