Loosen jaw components:
Unpinned 2 and 4 Bolt
a. loosen the drive link on the drive
shaft
b. loosen the pressure adjustment
nuts until the compression
springs spin freely
c. loosen the deflection collars and
turn until they are at least 1/4"
away from the jaw casting
6.
Lock the crank linkage parallel to the actuator shaft with
the clamp block.
7.
Remove the hydraulic cylinder cushion:
a. loosen the four bolts on the locking flange
b. unscrew the hydraulic cylinder cushion
c. inspect the jaw cylinder hydraulic cushion for damage
d. test the jaw cylinder hydraulic cushion operation at
maximum and minimum pressure
e. set the jaw cylinder hydraulic cushion at 3½
f. do not reinstall
Unpinned 2 and 4 Bolt
8.Push the jaw cylinder rod back until
it bottoms out
9.Tighten the drive link on the drive
shaft
Tighten the drive link clamp
evenly. Keep the clamp par-
allel to the drive link. The
clamp must not contact the
drive link.
10.Verify the jaw cylinder rod is
threaded into the clevis
11.Tighten the clevis clamp screws
12.
Turn the pressure adjusting nuts clockwise and compress
springs to:
Red Springs
1 11/16" (43mm)
13.
Turn the deflection collars toward the front jaw castings
until the barely touch and lock in place.
