Clearance
5. Tighten the bolts.
If the tube moves as the bolts are tightened, place wedges (card-
board, screwdriver blades, etc.) between the tube and bottom
plate to hold the tube stationary as the bolts are tightened.
6. Check for interference.
a. Pull a 12" long by 1" wide strip of film, double thick-
ness, through the front of the tube.
b. Work the film around the back of the former.
7. Pull the film through the FTA.
8. Restore power and air to the machine.
9. Cycle the machine to test the adjustment.
10. Repeat steps as necessary to obtain the desired perfor-
mance.

MPORTANT
If enough clearance cannot be gained by this adjustment, check
for damage to the tube or the former. Otherwise an undersized
tube may be required.
