c. insert the film edge around the opening between the
inner tube and the forming shoulder
d. gently ease the film back-and-forth, working it down-
ward until the edge of the film appears beneath the
bottom plate of the forming shoulder

Grasp the film edge and pull it through the forming shoul-
der until the film covers the length of the forming tube.
12.
Pull until the film extends below the end seal jaws and all
slack is removed.
13.
Engage the pull belts.
14.
Close and lock the platen.
15.
Close bagger front doors.
16.
Reposition the low film/no film device.
17.
Reset the machine.

MPORTANT
Make this adjustment while the machine is producing empty bags
to verify that the seam seal is properly aligned.
Final film backseal adjustments are made by positioning the unwind
stand left or right. From the console or on the electrical panel, the oper-
ator controls a motor drive that shifts the roll of material into position.
Some machines may have a handwheel versus motorized controls.
The material can be shifted ½" (12.7 mm) to either side of the forming
tube center-line.

Pull film using these settings:
a. Empty Bag
b. Continuous Cycle or Single Cycle
c. Plain Film
2.
Stabilize the film's left to right movement.
3.
Adjust the film roll position using the motorized unwind.
1.
Bring the machine to a controlled stop.
2.
Release the roll brake.
3.
Raise the low film detect arm.
4.
If spindle safety locks are installed, disengage the locks on
each side.
5.
If film remains threaded, cut the film, leaving excess
threaded in the machine, and enough film for splicing to
full diameter new roll.
