If none of the emitter points are working, either the bar or power sup-
ply is defective. To identify which is not working:
1. Turn OFF the power to the static eliminator power sup-
ply.
a. If the power supply is hardwired to the packaging
machine, disconnect the appropriate fuse or cycle the
machine power.
b. If the power supply uses a separate 3-prong outlet,
unplug the power supply cord.
2. Disconnect the static bar(s) from the power supply
a. unscrew the knurled plug(s)
b. gently pull the high voltage cable out of the power
supply unit
3. Attach a piece of insulated wire or cable to the ground ter-
minal.
4. Turn ON the power to the static eliminator power supply.
a. If the power supply is hardwired to the packaging
machine, reconnect the appropriate fuse or restore
machine power.
b. If the power supply uses a separate 3-prong outlet,
plug in the power supply cord.
5. Insert the other end of the insulated wire into the high
voltage receptacle of the power supply.
As the wire or cable approaches the screw at the back of the power
supply, a spark should occur. If no spark occurs nor any arcing is
heard, the power supply is faulty. If a spark and arcing sound does
occur, the bar is faulty. If either are faulty, contact HayssenSandiacre
Customer Service to order new parts.
