The gap between the stripper bars must be at 0.062" - 0.093". If adjust-
ment is necessary:
1.
Turn Off machine power.
2.
Pull down on the clevis until both air cylinder rods are
fully retracted.
3.
Loosen the jam nuts (4 on each side of stripper assembly).
4.
Turn the stripper bar gap adjustment screws evenly on
both sides until a gap of 0.062" - 0.093" is obtained across
the entire length of the stripper bars.
5.
Check the center line of the stripper bars against the center
line of the jaws:
a. push the jaws together, leaving a small gap
b. insert a steel rule through the jaw and stripper gap
c. verify the rule is straight
d. make small turns, if needed, to the appropriate stripper
bar gap adjustment screws to match the centerlines
6.
Tighten the jam nuts.
7.
Restore power and check operation.
8.
Press the Reset pushbutton.
Set the stripper arms for maximum speed with smooth and quiet opera-
tion. To adjust:
1.
Turn Off machine power.
2.
Loosen the jam nuts on the open/close speed controls.
3.
Coarse adjust by turning clockwise until closed; then four
turns counter-clockwise.
4.
Coarse adjust the internal cushions by turning clockwise
until closed; then 1/2 turn counter-clockwise.
5.
Restore power.
6.
Reset the machine.
7.
On the operator interface, disable all functions except the
stripper.
8.
Set the stripper timing from 130° to 345 .
9.
With empty bags selected, cycle the machine and observe
the action of the stripper bars.
10.
E-Stop the machine.
11.
Fine adjust the close stripper speed controls for maximum
speed without noise.
If the strippers close extremely fast, turn the controls clockwise.
