Tetra Jaw
Installation

MPORTANT
If the Tetra and standard jaw assembly are both
•
installed on the machine the only setup changes
required to switch jam systems is the heater electrical
disconnects, the jaw air lines and the jaw proximity
switch.
The connectors for the jaw proximity switch are located
•
inside the electrical cabinet at the bottom of the cabinet.
Refer to the machine electrical schematics for wiring
•
diagrams.
1.
Power the machine Off.
2.
Lockout the machine.
3.
Disconnect items below from the jaw:
a. heater quick disconnects.
b. jaw close sensor quick disconnect.
4.
Disconnect the air from the stager.
a. Cap any air that will not be used with the tetra jaw.
5.
Remove the stager.
a. Release the stager by loosening the bolts or levers on
each side.
b. Lift the stager from the machine.
6.
Install the tetra jaw assembly.
a. Place the tetra jaw assembly in the stager mounts
b. Lock in place by tightening the bolts or levers on each
side
c. Connect the:
1. Heaters
2. Probes
3. Connect the air at the air assembly and the tetra
jaw assembly.
4. Jaw close sensor
