Touch Start.
The machine makes a cycle and the jaws close on the paper leaving an
imprint, showing areas where there is insufficient contact.

If the test shows correct contact, see the procedure for
installing grippers.
A good impression is uniform and even top to bottom and left to right.

If the impression is light, adjust the mounting points that
correspond to the light impression area.

MPORTANT
Do not adjust the faces using the jack screws. They are for
straightening a warped face. The jack screws cannot hold the
adjustment for more than 12 hours.

ARNING
To avoid serious injury, the main electrical disconnect must be in
the Off position before adjusting the jaw pressure.
1.
Verify the main electrical disconnect is in the Off position.
2.
Turn the regulator control screw to adjust pressure:
Increase Pressure
Turn regulator control screw
clockwise
The jaw lock valve uses an isolated regulator to control the supply pressure
to the jaw lock cylinders. The regulator pressure is indicated on the jaw
lock regulator gauge. The factory setting is 55 psi. This setting may need to
change depending on the sealing temperature and/or thickness of the film.
