3. Set the jaw open cushion.
a. close the jaw open cushion completely
b. open the jaw open cushion ¼ turn
4. Set the jaw close cushion at the 0 position.
5. Restore machine power.
6. Adjust machine parameters using the operator interface.
a. set the jaw close timing FROM 150° TO 330°
b. set the bag speed at 60 bpm
c. set stager or stripper timing FROM 0° TO 359°
d. turn Off all other machine functions
e. Press the Reset push button
7. Run several single cycles and observe the jaws.

Exercise extreme caution while working with the power ON.
8. Turn the jaw open and jaw close flow controls clockwise
to slow down the cylinder.
9. If there is too much bounce when the jaws open, make
small adjustments to the jaw open cushion until only a
slight bounce is seen.
a. turn clockwise to increase the cushion and lessen the
bounce
b. turn counterclockwise to reduce the cushion and
increase the speed
10. Adjust the jaw close cushion so it consistently displays
240° ± 5°.
a. adjust the jaw close cushion, one setting at a time, to
obtain a consistent jaw close point
b. if the jaw close point is too high, open the flow con-
trols slightly
Typical jaw close cushion setting is 4.
Higher values equal more cushion.
