MPORTANT
If the gap is too small, overheated film sticks to the
•
back-up sponge tape and does not pass smoothly down
the forming tube. If the gap is too large, the seam seal is
weak or non-existent.
To prevent tracking, registration and sealing problems
•
from film drag, the platen MUST NOT come into
contact with moving film.
1.
Loosen the lock nut behind the distance handwheel.
2.
Turn the distance handwheel to position the platen with a
gap of 1/2" (13mm) – 7/8" (19mm) between the platen
and the forming tube.

Tighten the lock nut.
