Command Line Interface
default-vlan vlan
Use the vlan VLAN Configuration mode command to create a VLAN. To restore the
default configuration or delete a VLAN, use the no form of this command.
Syntax
default-vlan vlan vlan-id
no default-vlan vlan
Parameters
• vlan-id — VLAN ID of the default VLAN.
Default Configuration
The default configuration is set to one.

• vlan-id — Specifies an existing VLAN ID.

If the VLAN doesn't exist ("ghost VLAN") only a partial list of the commands
are available under the interface VLAN context. The commands that are
supported for VLAN that don't exist are:
1) IGMP snooping control
2) Bridge multicast configuration
