sntp server

The
Global Configuration mode command configures the device to use
sntp server
the Simple Network Time Protocol (SNTP) to request and accept SNTP traffic from a
specified server. To remove a server from the list of SNTP servers, use the
of this command.
Syntax
sntp server
no sntp server
Parameters
• ip-address — IP address of the server.
• hostname — Hostname of the server. (Range: 1-158 characters)
— Enable polling.
poll
• keyid — Authentication key to use when sending packets to this peer.
(Range:1-4294967295)
Default Setting
No servers are defined.

Command Usage
Up to 8 SNTP servers can be defined.
Use the
sntp unicast client enable
enable predefined unicast clients globally.
To enable polling you should also use the
Configuration mode command for global enabling.
Polling time is determined by the
mode command.
Examples
The following example configures the device to accept SNTP traffic from the server
on 192.1.1.1.
