duplex

The
Interface Configuration (Ethernet) mode command configures the full/
duplex
half duplex operation of a given Ethernet interface when not using auto-negotiation.
To restore the default configuration, use the

Parameters
no duplex
— Forces half-duplex operation
half
full
— Forces full-duplex operation
Default Setting
The interface is set to full duplex.
Command Mode
Interface Configuration (Ethernet) mode
Command Usage
When configuring a particular duplex mode on the port operating at 10/100
Mbps, disable the auto-negotiation on that port.
Half duplex mode can be set only for ports operating at 10 Mbps or 100 Mbps.
Example
The following example configures the duplex operation of Ethernet port 1/e5 to full
duplex operation.
