The
bridge multicast forbidden address
command forbids adding a specific multicast address to specific ports. Use the
form of this command to return to the default configuration.
Syntax
bridge multicast forbidden address
ip-multicast-address} {
port-channel-number-list}
no bridge multicast forbidden address
Parameters
— Adds ports to the group.
add
— Removes ports from the group.
remove
• mac-multicast-address — A valid MAC multicast address.
• interface-list — Separate nonconsecutive Ethernet ports with a comma and
no spaces; hyphen is used to designate a range of ports.
• port-channel-number-list — Separate nonconsecutive valid port-channels
with a comma and no spaces; a hyphen is used to designate a range of
port-channels.
Default Setting
No forbidden addresses are defined.

Command Usage
Before defining forbidden ports, the multicast group should be registered.
Examples
In this example, MAC address 0100.5e02.0203 is forbidden on port 2/e9 within
VLAN 8.
