7. Engine Coolant Temperature
Gauge
A: REMOVAL
NOTE:
Since the meter main assembly of STI model can-
not be disassembled. Do not remove or inspect the
engine coolant temperature gauge as a single unit.
Disassemble the combination meter, and then re-
move the tachometer and engine coolant tempera-
ture gauge and fuel gauge assembly. <Ref. to IDI-
12, DISASSEMBLY, Combination Meter.>
B: INSTALLATION
Install in the reverse order of removal.
C: INSPECTION
Measure the engine coolant temperature gauge re-
sistance.
GND
IGN
Terminals
IGN and GND terminal
IGN and UNIT terminal
UNIT and GND terminal
Replace the engine coolant temperature gauge
and fuel gauge assembly if defective.
If OK, replace the combination meter printed circuit.
