ENGINE COMPONENT MAINTENANCE

ROCKER ASSEMBLY
Disassembly
1. Loosen the hex head plug at the rocker arm shaft
end.
2. Remove the screw located in the No. 1 cylinder
rocker arm bracket.
3. Pull out the rocker arm shaft, 1, springs, 2, and
rocker arms, 3.
Inspection and Correction
1. Wear of Rocker Arm Shaft
Using a micrometer, check the outside diameter
of the rocker arm shaft. If the rocker arm shaft is
worn beyond the allowable limit, replace.
