6. Install the neutral return spring assembly through
the neutralizer plate at 1, and into the bellhousing

cover at 2. The spring will require some compres-
sion before the bolt can be installed; it can be

compressed by hand. Tighten the bolt until it bot-
toms and torque to 55 N·m (40 ft. lbs.).
