Primary Drive Chain and Sprockets Installation
15. Install the large primary drive sprocket, 1, over
the final drive sprockets, 2. Install retaining ring,
3, to correctly position the sprocket.
16. Clean the old sealant from the motor flange, seal
plate and attaching hardware, 4.
17. Place a bead of noncorrosive silicone sealer
around the motor flange, seal plate and under the
heads of the mounting bolts. Slide the motor into
position and install the attaching hardware. Do
not tighten.
18. Reinstall the motor drive sprocket, 1, and fasten
with retaining ring, 2.
19. Install the primary drive chain, 3, over sprockets,
1 and 4.
20. Adjust the motor drawbolts, 1, to obtain a deflec-
tion of 6 mm (1/4"), on the primary drive chain
when a force of 4.5 Kg (10 lbs) is applied near the
center of the chain span.
21. Torque the motor mount hardware to 101 N·m
(75 ft. lbs.).
