Valve Spring
Visually inspect the valve spring for damage.
Position the valve spring on a flat surface and check
the squareness of it by using a square at 1, as shown.
If it exceeds the allowable limit, replace the spring.
Using a spring tester, check spring force and free
length.
Replace, if found to be beyond the allowable limit.

Inner face of combustion chamber. Check and clean
the combustion chamber.
Reassembly
Reassemble the parts in the reverse order of
disassembly.
NOTE: When assembling the valve spring, retainer,
and keepers, take care not to damage the valve
guide seal.
Tighten glow plugs to 15 - 20 N·m (11 - 15 ft. lbs.).
