Backplate
1. Check the backplate for flatness, 1.
2. The backplate needle bearing assembly, 2, is a
press fit and should not be loose. Inspect for
looseness and wear. Check that all needles are
in the cage and move freely.
3. If no problems are found, there is no need to re-
place the bearing.
4. Check the alignment pins to make sure they are
in place.
