1. Install the outer seal, 1, as shown, on the axle-

hub assembly. Fill the grooves in the seal with

2. Pack the bearing with grease and install the outer

bearing, 2, with a suitable bearing driver.

3. Wrap the axle in the retaining ring groove area,

3, with a single layer of plastic tape to prevent

damage to the seal during assembly.

4. Install inner seal, 1, in housing as shown with the

flat side of seal to the center of housing and re-

tainer and lip of seal to the outside.

5. Install bearing race, 2.

6. Install replaceable seal sleeve, 3, in housing.

7. Place the housing, 1, over the axle and hub as-

sembly, 2, making sure the outer bearing is

seated properly in the outer race.

8. Remove tape from axle shaft.

9. Install the inner bearing race, 3, into housing.
