2. Unlock 3 tabs on strainer plastic ring.

Step 1: Lift these tabs to unlock ring
Step 2: Pull ring off pump inlet
3. Remove rubber pad.

4. Remove push nut securing strainer to fuel
pump. Be careful not to break the plastic pin.

5. Pull strainer off fuel pump.

Subsection 02 (FUEL TANK AND FUEL PUMP)

NOTE: A non-serviceable filter is located within
the fuel pump module. If it is clogged, replace fuel
pump.
6. Insert the new strainer on fuel pump making
sure to press it in tightly against the fuel pump
surface.
7. Press in a NEW push nut to secure strainer.
8. Reinstall remaining removed parts.

FUEL LEVEL SENDER

The fuel level sender is a float actuated variable
resistance type that is part of the fuel pump.
