It identifies the color of a wire. When a 2-color
scheme is used, the first color is the main color
while the second color is the tracer color.

THE SHADED PART INDICATES THE WIRE COLOR
Example: YL/BK is a YELLOW wire with a BLACK
stripe.
Wire Gauge
The number after wire color indicates the gauge
of a wire.

The letters in the middle of the connector/pin con-
tact number Indicates the connector's function. If
there are many connectors in the same area, this
helps to identify which wire is in which connector.
