It identifies the color of a wire. When a 2-color
scheme is used, the first color is the main color
while the second color is the tracer color.

Example: YL/BK is a YELLOW wire with a BLACK
stripe.
Wire Gauge
The number after wire color indicates the gauge
of a wire.
