Decommissioning the Device

Before taking the device out of service, either permanently or for maintenance by a third-party, make sure the
device has been fully decommissioned. This includes removing any sensitive, proprietary information.
To decommission the device, do the following:

Obtain a copy of the ROX II firmware currently installed on the device. For more information, contact
Siemens Customer Support.

Log in to maintenance mode. For more information, refer to the ROX II v2.6 CLI User Guide.

Delete the current boot password/passphrase by typing:
rox-delete-bootpwd --force
