Network Discovery and Management
IMPORTANT!
Before configuring an idle timeout on a device managed by RUGGEDCOM NMS, make sure NMS is
configured to support a timeout period for NETCONF sessions.

Navigate to admin » netconf and configure the following parameter(s) as required:

Type commit and press Enter to save the changes, or type revert and press Enter to abort.

NETCONF protocol transactions. For more information, refer to

[Optional] Enable the NETCONF trace log (saved under /var/log/netconf-trace.log) to record the
text of each NETCONF XML message received by and sent by the device. For more information, refer to
Section 4.10.4.4, "Enabling/Disabling the NETCONF Trace

Viewing NETCONF Statistics
To view NETCONF related statistics, type:
show admin netconf

Provides the ability to configure NETCONF features on the device.
Synopsis: A string
Default: 0.0.0.0
The IP Address the CLI will listen on for NETCONF requests.
Synopsis: A 16-bit unsigned integer between 0 and 65535
Default: 830
The port on which NETCONF listens for NETCONF requests.
Synopsis: A string
Additional IP addresses and ports on which NETCONF listens for NETCONF requests. You
can specify IP addresses and ports in the following forms:
• nnn.nnn.nnn.nnn:port represents an IPv4 address followed by a colon and port
number. For example, 192.168.10.12:19343
• 0.0.0.0 represents the default IPv4 address and default port number. This is the default
configuration.
• [::]:port represents an IPv6 address followed by a colon and port number. For example,
[fe80::5eff:35ff]:16000
• If using the default address, do not specify another listen address with the same port.
Synopsis: a 32-bit unsigned integer
Default: 10
The maximum number of concurrent NETCONF sessions.
Synopsis: A string
Default: PT0S
The maximum idle time before terminating a NETCONF session. If the session is waiting
for notifications, or has a pending confirmed commit, the idle timeout is not used. A
value of 0 means no timeout.
