– Detach the fuel feed line -1- and the fuel return-flow line -2-

Vehicles fitted with auxiliary heating
– Remove auxiliary heating fuel line -1-
⇒ "2.12 Separating push-on couplings", page 249
Continued for all vehicles
– Remove propshaft ⇒ Gearbox; Rep. gr. 39 .
– Unlock the electrical plug connection -1- for Haldex coupling
and disconnect.
– As shown in the illustration, place the engine and gearbox jack
- V.A.G 1383 A- under the vehicle for support purposes and
support the fuel tank.
