Note
If different values are measured during the projection measure‐
ment of the piston, the greatest dimension applies for the seal
assignment.

Separating new conrod
It can happen that on new conrods, the provided separation point
is not completely cracked. If the conrod bearing cap cannot be
removed by hand, then proceed as follows:
– Tension the conrod slightly in a vice fitted with an aluminium
protective jaw, as shown in the illustration.
Note
Only tension the conrod slightly in order to avoid damage on

the conrod.
The conrod is clamped below the broken line.

– Unscrew both screws -arrows- by approx. 5 turns.
– Carefully knock against the conrod bearing cap with a plastic
hammer in -direction of arrow- in order to loosen it.
