ACOUSTIC CONTROL INDUCTION SYSTEM (ACIS)
INSPECT INTAKE AIR CONTROL VALVE
With 39.9 kPa (300 mmHg, 11.8 in.Hg) of vacuum applied
to the actuator, check that the actuator rod moves.
One minute after applying the vacuum in step (a), check
that the actuator rod does not return.
INSPECT VSV
Using an ohmmeter, check that there is continuity be-
tween each terminal.
Resistance: 33 to 39 Ω at 20°C (68°F)
Using an ohmmeter, check that there is no continuity be-
tween each terminal and the body.
Check that air flows from port E to the filter.
Apply battery voltage across the terminals.
Check that air flows from port E to port F.
