Command Mode

Usage Guideline
The lifetime value in RA instructs the received host the lifetime value for taking the router as the default
router.
Example
This example shows how to specify the lifetime value in the advertised RA.
Switch# configure terminal
Switch(config)# interface vlan1
Switch(config-if)# ipv6 nd ra lifetime 9000
Switch(config-if)#
9-14 ipv6 nd suppress-ra
This command is used to disable the sending of RA messages on the interface. Use the no command to
enable sending of RA messages.
ipv6 nd suppress-ra
no ipv6 nd suppress-ra
Parameters
None.
Default
RA is not disabled on the VLAN interface.
RA is disabled on the tunnel interface.

Use the ipv6 nd suppress-ra command to disable sending of RA messages on the interface. Use the no
ipv6 nd suppress-ra command to re-enable sending of RA messages on the ISATAP tunnel interface.
