This command is used to enable periodic re-authentication for a port. Use the no form of this command to
disable periodic re-authentication.

None.
Default
By default, this option is disabled.

Command Default Level
Level: 12.

Use this command to enable periodic re-authentication for a port.
Example
This example shows how to enable periodic re-authentication on Ethernet port eth1/0/1.
Switch# configure terminal
Switch(config)# interface eth1/0/1
Switch(config-if)# authentication periodic
Switch(config-if)#
69-4 authentication timer inactivity
This command is used to configure the timer after which an inactive session is terminated. Use the no
form of the command to disable the inactivity timer
authentication timer inactivity {SECONDS}
no authentication timer inactivity
Parameters
SECONDS
Default
By default, this option is disabled.
Command Mode
Interface Configuration Mode.
Command Default Level
Specifies to configure the timer after which an inactive session is
terminated. The range is from 120 to 65535.
