Removal
WARNING
Take care during this procedure. Sharp edges may be present that can cause injury.
WARNING
Switch off the electricity to the machine, GP 14. Disconnect the power cord from the
customer supply, while performing tasks that do not need electricity. Electricity can
cause death or injury. Moving parts can cause injury.
1. Remove the PPI Front Cover, REP 11.83-171.
NOTE: IDG = Inter Document gap
2. Remove the top cover pivot screw. Move the rear top guide to disengage the pivots then
remove the sensor bracket and disconnect the sensor PJ, Figure 1.

Replacement
Reverse the removal procedure to replace the IDG pickup sensor and top cover.

1. Remove the front and rear covers, REP 11.83-171.
2. Remove the door front and rear pivot screws and stop screws. Figure 1. Release the wir-
ing harness clips to give slack in the sensor connecting cables.

3. Remove the guide plate and disconnect the PJ then remove the bracket and the acceler-
ation sensor from the guide plate, Figure 1.
Replacement
Reverse the removal procedure to replace the PPI top left door and the acceleration sensor.
