Cylinder Head Cover Installation (cont'd)
8. Tighten the bolts in t w o or three steps. In the final
step tighten all bolts, in sequence, 12 N-m
(1.2 k g f m , 8 J Ibf-ft).
9. Tighten the t w o bolts (A) securing the harness
holder, and install the dipstick (B).

10. Install the three ignition coils to t h e front cylinder
head (see page 4-22).
11. Install the intake m a n i f o l d (see page 9-5).
REAR
1. Check the spark plug seals for damage. If any seal
is d a m a g e d , replace it.
2. T h o r o u g h l y clean the head cover gasket and the
groove.
3. Install the head cover gasket (A) in the groove of
the cylinder head cover (B). Make sure the head
cover gasket is seated securely.
4. Remove all of the old liquid gasket f r o m the rocker
shaft holder and cylinder head.
5. Clean the head cover contacting surfaces w i t h a
shop t o w e l .
