12. Check total runout w i t h the camshaft supported on
V-blocks.
• If the total runout of the camshaft is w i t h i n the
service limit, replace the cylinder head.
• If the total runout is beyond the service limit,
replace the camshaft and recheck the oil
clearance. If the oil clearance is still out of
tolerance, replace the cylinder head.
Camshaft Total Runout
Standard (New): 0.03 mm (0.001 in.) max.
Service Limit: 0.04 mm (0.002 in.)
13. Measure cam lobe height.
NOTE: W h e n measuring the cam lobe height of the
rear camshaft, measure the secondary cam lobes.
C a m Lobe Height Standard (New)
Front:
Intake: 36.149 mm (1.4232 in.)
Exhaust: 35.864 mm (1.4120 in.)
Rear:
Intake: 35.406 mm (1.3939 in.)
Exhaust: 37.035 mm (1.4581 in.)
