DIAGNOSTICS − ENGINE (2ZZ−GE)
PREPARATION:
(a) Remove the generator. (See page CH−7)
(b) Remove the oil control valve filter.
CHECK:
Check the oil control valve filter.
Confirm that the filter is clear.
NG Replace oil control valve filter.

PREPARATION:
Start the engine and warm it up.
CHECK:
Check the engine speed at (1) and (2).
(1) Disconnect the C2 camshaft timing oil control valve
connector.
(2) Apply battery voltage between the terminals of the
OCV.
RESULT:
A09090
Proceed to

OK:
Engine stalled.
B Replace OCV for VVTL.
