9 Check for open in harness and connector between air pump motor and body
ground.

10 Inspect air pump assy (See page EC−12).

11 Check for open and short in harness and connector between ECM and air pump
relay (See page IN−30).

DIAGNOSTICS − ENGINE (2ZZ−GE)
(a) Disconnect the air pump assembly connector.
(b) Check the resistance between the wire harness side con-
nectors.
Standard (Check for open):
Air Pump Assembly (A22−2) − Body ground
(c) Reconnect the air pump assembly connector.
A21278 NG Repair or replace harness or connector.
NG Replace air pump assy (See page EC−14).
NG Repair or replace harness or connector.
