7 Check for open and short in harness and connector between ECM and VSV for
secondary air injection system (See page IN−30).

8 Inspect ECM (air voltage).

CHECK:
Check for voltage change between terminals AIP and E2 of the
ECM connector when applying the pressure to the pressure
sensor with the pressure gauge.

NG Replace vacuum switching valve.
NG Repair or replace harness or connector.
Connect the pressure gauge to the air pressure sensor as
shown in the illustration.
Turn the ignition switch ON (Do not start engine).
NG Replace pressure sensor.
