Access Control Lists (ACL)
When an access-list is created without any rule and then applied to an interface, ACL behavior reflects
implicit permit.
The MXL 10/40GbE Switch IO Module platform supports both ingress and egress MAC ACLs.
The following commands configure standard MAC ACLs:
deny
mac access-list standard
permit
seq

Configure a filter to drop packets with a the MAC address specified.
deny { any | mac-source-address [ mac-source-address-mask ]} [ count [ byte ]]
To remove this filter, you have two choices:
Use the no seq
sequence-number
Use the no deny { any |

mac-source-address-mask
count

Configures a MAC address filter to pass packets.
seq
Configures a MAC address filter with a specified sequence number.
command if you know the filter's sequence number.
mac-source-address mac-source-address-mask
Enter the keyword
filter.
Enter a MAC address in nn:nn:nn:nn:nn:nn format.
(OPTIONAL) Specify which bits in the MAC address must match. If
no mask is specified, a mask of 00:00:00:00:00:00 is applied (in
other words, the filter allows only MAC addresses that match).
(OPTIONAL) Enter the keyword
by the filter.
(OPTIONAL) Enter the keyword
