Description
Enables a running real-time display of log messages on the console display.
Syntax Description
This command has no arguments or variables.
Default
Disabled
Usage Guidelines
If you enable the log display on a terminal connected to the console port, your settings will remain in
effect even after your console session is ended (unless you explicitly disable the log display).
You configure the messages displayed in the log using the
, or
configure log display
configure log
commands.

In ExtremeWare 7.1.0, the ability to control logging to different targets was introduced. The new
command equivalent to
is the following:
enable log display
enable log target console-display
To change the log filter association, severity threshold, or match expression for messages sent to the
console display, use the
command
configure log target console-display
Example
The following command enables a real-time display of log messages:
enable log display

This command was first available in ExtremeWare 2.0.
This command was added to the Summit "e" series of switches in ExtremeWare 7.1e.
