Configuration and Image Commands

configure wireless ports image

configure wireless ports [<portlist> | all] image [bootstrap | bootloader |
runtime] [<ip address> | <hostname>] [<hostname/ip address> <filename>]
Description
Use this command to configure the image location for a wireless port.
Syntax Description
portlist
Specifies one or more ports or slots and ports. Can be one or more port numbers. May be
in the form 1, 2, 1:2, 3-5.
all
Specifies all ports.
bootstrap
Specifies the bootstrap image.
bootloader
Specifies the bootloader image
runtime
Specifies the runtime image
ip address
Specifies the IP address of the TFTP server.
hostname
Specifies the hostname of the TFTP server.
hostname/filename
Specifies the path for the file on the server that contains the specified image.
filename
Specifies the name of the file on the server that contains the specified image.
Default
By default the image location and path information are set to null.
Usage Guidelines
To configure Direct Connect ports, use the IP address of the wireless management VLAN for Direct
Connect ports.
To configure Remote Connect ports, use the IP address of the VLAN that the Remote Connect APs are
members of. This may not be the same as the wireless management VLAN.
A wireless port cannot be enabled if you have not configured runtime parameters for it.
Example
The following example configures a wireless port to download its image files from the TFTP server
called tftphost at IP address 10.12.123.1:
configure wireless ports 1:1 image bootstrap tftphost/10.12.123.1 ABS-1_8_0.bin
configure wireless ports 1:1 image bootloader tftphost/10.12.123.1 ABL-1_11_2.bin
configure wireless ports 1:1 image runtime tftphost/10.12.123.1 ART-7_5_8.bin
