clear log

For the "i" series switches:
clear log {diag-status | error-led | static | messages [memory-buffer |
nvram]}
For the "e" series switches:
clear log {diag-status | static | messages [memory-buffer | nvram]}
Description
Clears the log database.
Syntax Description
diag-status
Clears the hardware error code.
error-led
Clears the ERR LED on the MSM.
NOTE: This option is supported only on the BlackDiamond switches.
static
Specifies that the messages in the NVRAM target are cleared, and the ERR LED on the MSM
is cleared (on platforms with the MSM).
memory-buffer
Clears entries from the memory buffer.
nvram
Clears entries from NVRAM

Usage Guidelines
The switch log tracks configuration and fault information pertaining to the device.
By default, log entries that are sent to the NVRAM remain in the log after a switch reboot. The

When there is a hardware failure, a hardware error code might be saved to the FLASH or NVRAM
(depending on the switch configuration). Upon reboot, the switch will not try to bring up a module
with an error code, so it will be shown in a failed state. Use the
clear the hardware error code, so the module can be brought up after the next reboot. This command
clears the state for all the modules.
