configure auth netlogin radius primary [<ipaddress> | <hostname>]
{secondary [<ipaddress> | <hostname>]}
Description
Configures authentication of netlogin sessions through RADIUS servers.
Syntax Description
primary
secondary
ipaddress
hostname
Default
Unconfigured. Uses RADIUS for authentication for login sessions. If RADIUS is not enabled, TACACS+
servers are used. If neither RADIUS nor TACACS+ servers are configured, local authentication is used.
Usage Guidelines
The RADIUS server must be configured before this command is used. The command fails if the given
primary and secondary RADIUS servers are not configured or if RADIUS authentication is not
configured for netlogin sessions.
The following types of netlogin sessions can be configured:
• Dot1x-based netlogin
• Web-based netlogin
If you are using RADIUS authentication servers, you should only use RADIUS accounting servers for
accounting management sessions. RADIUS authentication servers should be configured before
configuring RADIUS accounting servers for management sessions.
Examples
In the following example, both primary and secondary RADIUS servers are configured for netlogin:
configure auth netlogin radius primary 192.168.14.12 secondary 192.168.14.55

This command was first available in ExtremeWare 7.3.0 and ExtremeWare 7.3e.
